Walls Around Earth

1 minute read | Published

Burning Vow

I think given half the chance
They’d build walls around the Earth

How can we care for the world when we don't care for ourselves?
This psychological imprisonment, fear builds infinite walls

Can't blame yourself for these conditions taught from birth
All under the curse of a nation
Infected blood, it runs black through my veins
Clots in my mind, I see no more

We're turning inwards, turning ignorant
We'd burn the world to make it ours
Now and forever under greed's influence
We'd burn the world, still it's not ours

I think given half the chance
They’d build walls around the Earth
Make us endure endless night
In this existence unrehearsed

In the shelter of the trees
The calming whisper of the breeze
Comfort in fear of the deep blue sea
We already have all the wisdom we need
Yet the air we breathe is dirty and diseased
My chest is so tight and I choke and I wheeze
And I choke and I wheeze

Grey flattened landscapes
That will never grow back
Trees fall with no vibration
Mankind, Earth's devastation

How can we care for the world when we don't care for ourselves?
How can we care for the world when we don't care for ourselves?
