Andy visited Interlaken, Switzerland during his “2005 European Adventure.”

Interlaken was a lot of fun and I met some really cool people at Balmer's. Some of us went hiking in the Alps one day. There were a lot of waterfalls and it rained but we just kept going. I wanted to get a good shot of the Jungfrau but the weather wasn't cooperative. We gave up after reaching Mürren, and ended up taking two aerial trams down to Gimmelwald and then Lauterbrunnen. From there we rode the train to Wilderswil and walked the rest of the way.

But this photo is not from that day. This is the river Aare which runs through Interlaken, situated between the two lakes Thun and Brienz.
